Is the Vanderpump Hotel Worth It? Everything You Need to Know Before Booking

The newest hotel on the Las Vegas Strip has officially arrived, and naturally, travelers have questions.

Is the Vanderpump Hotel actually different from the old Cromwell? Are the rooms worth the price? Is the pool any good? And perhaps most importantly, does Lisa Vanderpump's first hotel live up to the hype?

We recently stayed at the brand-new Vanderpump Hotel during its soft opening period to get a firsthand look at everything from the rooms and casino floor to the pool, restaurants, and cocktail lounges. After spending the night and exploring the property, we're breaking down everything travelers need to know before booking.

Now Open, Vanderpump Hotel Las Vegas, The Strip’s Newest Hotel

What Is the Vanderpump Hotel?

The Vanderpump Hotel is the newest boutique resort on the Las Vegas Strip, replacing the former Cromwell Hotel in one of the most desirable locations in the City.

Situated directly across from Bellagio and connected to the heart of the Center Strip, the property puts guests within walking distance of Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Horseshoe, Paris Las Vegas, and many of the Strip's most iconic attractions.

Unlike mega-resorts with thousands of rooms, the Vanderpump Hotel embraces a boutique hotel concept. The result is a property that feels more intimate, more curated, and noticeably different from many of its neighboring resorts.

The moment you walk inside, it's clear this isn't just a simple rebrand.

First Impressions: Does It Feel Like a Vanderpump Property?

Absolutely.

The casino floor immediately sets the tone with dramatic chandeliers, rich dark blues, gold accents, elegant lighting, and what can best be described as a modern gothic aesthetic.

Fans of Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants and cocktail lounges will immediately recognize her design influence. The property feels luxurious without feeling stuffy, glamorous without feeling overdone.

One thing that surprised us was how much brighter and more sophisticated the space feels compared to its previous life as The Cromwell.

The transformation is significant.

Even guests who never watched Vanderpump Rules will likely appreciate the elevated design and attention to detail throughout the resort.

The Rooms: Better Than We Expected

Let's get straight to the question most travelers are asking.

Are the rooms worth booking?

After spending the night, our answer is yes.

The room design strikes a balance between luxury and comfort. While the casino and public spaces lean toward darker, moodier tones, the guest rooms feel bright, airy, and relaxing.

In fact, the room feels more like an upscale apartment than a traditional Las Vegas hotel room.

The Best Feature? The Bed.

No exaggeration: this was one of the best nights of sleep we've had on the Las Vegas Strip.

The mattress strikes a near-perfect balance between supportive and comfortable. The pillows were soft, plush, and surprisingly luxurious.

Even more interesting, the room featured lightly scented bedding that enhanced the overall feeling of relaxation.

After a long day walking the Strip, the room genuinely felt like a retreat.

Small Details That Stand Out

The Vanderpump Hotel excels at the little things:

  • Excellent room lighting

  • Plush oversized towels

  • Nightly turndown service

  • Complimentary bottled water at bedtime

  • Chocolates during turndown

  • High ceilings that make rooms feel larger

One feature that genuinely surprised us was the return of nightly turndown service.

Very few Las Vegas hotels still offer this level of service. During our stay, the staff prepared the room for bedtime, removed decorative pillows, drew the curtains, and left water and chocolates by the bed.

It's a small touch that feels increasingly rare in Las Vegas.

What We Didn't Love About the Rooms

No hotel is perfect, and there are a few things travelers should know.

The Walls Can Be Thin

The Vanderpump Hotel sits in one of the busiest locations on the Strip.

Between Las Vegas Boulevard, nearby pedestrian bridges, and surrounding entertainment venues, noise can occasionally enter the room.

It isn't nearly as loud as staying on Fremont Street, but light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or request a quieter room location.

The Shower Has Some Quirks

The shower is visually stunning but not especially practical.

The rainfall showerhead is mounted extremely high, and there isn't a handheld wand option. If you prefer more control over your shower experience, this could be frustrating.

There's also a decorative mirror inside the shower that immediately fogged up once the hot water started running.

Beautiful? Yes.

Useful? Not really.

Soleia Pool: One of the Best Pool Experiences on the Strip?

This may be the biggest surprise of our entire stay.

The new Soleia Pool occupies the space formerly known as Drai's Beachclub, but the atmosphere has changed dramatically.

Instead of a high-energy dayclub experience, the Vanderpump team is transforming the space into a more relaxed resort-style pool.

And honestly?

It works.

The pool offers some of the most impressive views on the Strip.

From the deck, you'll enjoy sweeping views of Bellagio, Caesars Palace, and Las Vegas Boulevard stretching both north and south.

After staying at nearly every major resort on the Strip, we were genuinely impressed by the views here.

Pool Highlights

  • Incredible Strip views

  • Resort-style atmosphere

  • Private cabanas

  • Daybeds available

  • Complimentary access for hotel guests

  • Access available through cabana rentals

  • Food and cocktail service

The vibe during our visit was relaxed, comfortable, and far less chaotic than many Vegas pool scenes.

If you're looking for a pool where you can actually relax, Soleia might become one of the Strip's hidden gems.

Jigalo: The New Vanderpump Cocktail Lounge

No Vanderpump property would be complete without a cocktail lounge.

Enter Jigalo.

Named after Lisa Vanderpump's beloved Pomeranian, Jiggy, this intimate cocktail lounge is one of the most unique spaces in the hotel.

The venue embraces the same moody elegance found throughout the resort, with dog-inspired details, glamorous décor, and a giant tribute statue to Jiggy himself.

Unlike some of Lisa's other Las Vegas venues, Jigalo is primarily focused on cocktails rather than dining.

Expect:

  • Specialty cocktails

  • Signature Pumpinis

  • Caviar service

  • Small bites

  • Elevated presentation

Every drink feels like part cocktail and part performance.

The attention to detail is impressive and reinforces what makes Vanderpump venues so popular in the first place.

Is the Hotel Finished?

Not quite.

One interesting discovery during our stay involved the former rooftop nightclub space.

Since Drai's Nightclub relocated within the property, a significant amount of space currently sits unused.

Staff members indicated that future plans are still being finalized.

Additionally, the resort could benefit from another restaurant or quick-service dining option beyond Giada.

These aren't major complaints, but they do suggest that the property may continue evolving over the coming months.

So... Is the Vanderpump Hotel Worth It?

For us, the answer is a resounding yes.

The Vanderpump Hotel delivers something Las Vegas doesn't always offer anymore: personality.

The rooms are thoughtfully designed, the service feels elevated, the pool is surprisingly excellent, and the entire property has a clear identity.

While there are a few growing pains and some unfinished elements, the overall experience exceeded our expectations.

If you're looking for a boutique luxury experience in the heart of the Center Strip, the Vanderpump Hotel deserves a place near the top of your list.

Our Final Verdict

Would we stay here again?

Absolutely!
